About the Cashier Role

The Cashier plays a key role in ensuring customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate service. This includes handling transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring that all food safety and operational standards are followed in line with company SOPs.

This is a frontline role where efficiency, communication, and customer service are essential.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales Support

  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Assist customers with orders and inquiries
  • Ensure a smooth and fast service experience

Cash Handling & Transactions

  • Process customer payments accurately
  • Handle cash, card, and electronic transactions
  • Follow all cash management procedures and SOPs

Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance

  • Maintain cleanliness of the service area
  • Follow strict hygiene and food safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with all operational SOPs

Food Preparation Support

  • Assist with basic preparation of menu items when required
  • Ensure orders are prepared according to brand standards
  • Maintain speed and accuracy during peak hours

Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant or fast-food service
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
