About the Prepper Role

The Prepper is responsible for preparing ingredients and menu items according to strict company SOPs. This role ensures that all food served meets quality, safety, and speed standards in a busy restaurant environment.

You will play a key supporting role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and consistent product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation Duties

  • Prepare menu ingredients and items according to SOPs
  • Ensure consistency in portioning, preparation, and presentation
  • Support kitchen workflow during peak periods

Hygiene & Food Safety

  • Maintain strict cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Follow all food safety and handling procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs at all times

Kitchen Operations Support

  • Assist with receiving and preparing stock for use
  • Maintain organised and efficient preparation areas
  • Support chefs and grillers during busy service times

Customer Service Support

  • Ensure prepared items meet quality expectations
  • Support fast and accurate service delivery
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach in all tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • Minimum 1 year restaurant or fast-food experience
  • Basic understanding of food preparation processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
