Senior On-Site Security Management Opportunity at Fidelity Services Group

Fidelity Services Group is seeking a disciplined and experienced Security Site Manager to join its FSG Secunda department based in Kriel, Mpumalanga. This is a permanent position suited to a strong security management professional with proven site leadership experience and the ability to manage large security teams in a demanding operational environment.

The role is critical in ensuring that all site-specific security requirements are fully met and that client expectations are consistently delivered in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).


About the Role

The Security Site Manager is responsible for the overall management of site security operations, ensuring effective deployment of Security Officers, strict compliance with contractual requirements, and professional engagement with clients. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong reporting discipline, and the ability to manage operational risks proactively.

This position demands a manager who can balance operational control, client liaison, staff discipline, and compliance while maintaining high service standards across day and night shifts.


Key Responsibilities

Site Security Operations Management

The successful candidate will ensure that all security operations are managed timeously and effectively, with full site coverage maintained at all times. This includes the correct posting of Security Officers for both day and night shifts in accordance with client SLAs.

Continuous monitoring of operational effectiveness and adherence to site procedures is essential to ensure service excellence.


Client Liaison and Relationship Management

A key function of the role is maintaining strong working relationships between Fidelity Security Services and clients. This includes daily liaison, providing feedback on operational matters, and addressing client concerns professionally and efficiently.

The Site Manager is expected to make recommendations to clients regarding service improvements based on continuous evaluation of site security performance.


Reporting and Incident Management

The role includes compiling, distributing, and communicating daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. The Site Manager will also be responsible for incident, accident, and investigation reports, including obtaining statements and ensuring accurate documentation.

Attention to detail and strong report-writing skills are critical to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance.


Staff Management and Discipline

The Security Site Manager is responsible for staff supervision, discipline, and performance management. This includes ensuring that all Security Officers meet contractual and compliance requirements, enforcing discipline where required, and attending CCMA or Labour Court proceedings when necessary.

Effective people management and leadership are essential to maintaining morale, discipline, and operational stability.


Risk Assessment and Access Control

The role requires continuous assessment of the client’s premises to identify and minimise security risks. This includes implementing layered access control measures, auditing access registers daily, and generating exception reports where deviations are identified.

Proactive risk management is central to preventing security breaches and criminal activity.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or equivalent

  • NQF Level 5 in Security Management

  • PSIRA Grade A or B registration, valid and up to date

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ Site Supervisory or Management experience

  • Proven staff management experience

  • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport

  • Computer literacy

  • No criminal record or pending cases

  • Physically fit and in good health

  • Must reside in the greater Witbank / Kriel / Ga-Nala area or be willing to relocate at own cost
