This role is within its vehicle rental division, working with Europcar, one of the leading car rental services at airports and major travel hubs.
Position Overview
The Customer Service Agent (Europcar – Port Elizabeth Airport) is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service during vehicle rental check-in and check-out processes.
The role is fast-paced and customer-facing, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in a busy airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Rentals Operations
- Handle vehicle check-in and check-out processes professionally
- Assist customers with rental agreements and transactions
- Manage reservations (new bookings, amendments, cancellations)
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally
Administration & Record Keeping
- Capture fuel usage, vehicle condition reports, and rental details
- Process partial billing, deposits, and financial documentation
- Track overdue rentals and follow up where required
- Scan and manage rental documentation accurately
Fleet & Vehicle Management
- Monitor vehicle condition and report damages or issues
- Identify expired licenses and service-related issues
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained
- Support fleet movement tracking and coordination
Customer Experience
- Deliver excellent face-to-face and telephone service
- Maintain a calm and professional approach under pressure
- Handle customer complaints and conflict situations effectively
- Promote a positive rental experience at all times
Operational Compliance
- Follow company quality control and claims procedures
- Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards at the branch
- Support security of vehicles and company assets
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4)
- Minimum 2 years customer service or front office experience
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license (minimum 2 years driving experience)
- Computer literate
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required
