Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications and experience:
Education & Training
- N2 Qualified Technician certification (or equivalent).
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, including training as an Apprentice.
- Experience in forestry equipment repair and maintenance.
Technical Knowledge & Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of forestry machinery and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Valid driver’s license (essential).

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Equipment Repair & Maintenance
- Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance of forestry equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
- Replace, repair, and adjust components to restore machinery functionality.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks to reduce downtime and increase machinery lifespan.
2. Customer Service & Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Address client queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide customers with technical guidance on equipment usage and maintenance.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Update and maintain job cards for each task performed.
- Document equipment issues, repair procedures, and parts used.
- Maintain an accurate service history of forestry equipment.
- Provide technical reports and feedback to management.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use protective gear and safety equipment as required.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
