Key Duties and Responsibilities
As the Storeman, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Organizing all store operations and assigning responsibilities to personnel.

Managing stock levels and ensuring all stock is ordered, received, and issued according to Tsebo policies.

Monitoring store expenditure and controlling the budget to maintain cost efficiency.

Administering procurement for all food, resale, beverage, and chemical items.

Ensuring compliance with legal health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.

Receiving stock deliveries and performing quality checks against invoices.

Accurate and timely stock costing and meal/function planning.

Maintaining high standards of hygiene across all storerooms, fridges, and freezers.

Planning stock usage for consecutive days and reporting any unavailability.

Conducting weekly stock takes and managing waste and leftovers appropriately.

Practicing proper stock rotation and ensuring all products are stacked and date-marked.

Providing regular product quality reports and maintaining supplier relationships.

Assisting in other local units as needed and fulfilling reasonable management requests.

Ensuring secure storage and protection of products and equipment.
Required Skills and Competencies
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:

Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Proven stock control and costing experience.

Good working knowledge of food and beverage inventory processes.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Computer literacy and the ability to work with stock management systems (e.g., Tsebo Source).

Strong customer service orientation.

Attention to hygiene and safety standards.

A positive, punctual, and professional approach.
Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Essential)

A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in catering or facilities)
