About the Role
As a Supply Chain Buyer at Pedros Head Office, you will be directly responsible for securing cost-effective, reliable, and timely supply across all operational streams—including raw food products, packaging materials, commodities, kitchen equipment, and store consumables.
Working closely with cross-functional partners in Operations, Finance, Marketing, Quality Assurance (QA), and New Product Development (NPD), you will optimize margins, manage supplier performance, evaluate tenders, mitigate supply chain risks, and build long-term vendor alliances to fuel the company’s growth.
Key Performance Areas & Primary Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

Source and procure food products, packaging, raw commodities, kitchen equipment, and store consumables across the restaurant network.

Draft and manage Request for Quotations (RFQs), formal tenders, supplier evaluations, and new vendor onboarding procedures.

Negotiate competitive commodity pricing, rebate structures, payment terms, and service-level supplier agreements (SLAs).

Identify commercial cost-saving initiatives and execute strategic sourcing plans to maximize profit margins.
2. Supplier Relationship & Contract Management

Build, cultivate, and maintain strong commercial partnerships with key suppliers and logistics partners.

Track and evaluate ongoing vendor performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service standards.

Oversee contract lifecycles, agreement renewals, and strategic commercial negotiations.

Identify backup and alternative supplier networks to reduce supply risks, prevent single-source dependencies, and ensure continuous business operations.
3. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

Maintain consistent product and packaging availability across all corporate and franchise store locations.

Monitor global/local commodity price fluctuations, broader market trends, and potential supply chain disruptions.

Collaborate with inventory planning and distribution partners to streamline stock control and delivery schedules.

Address and resolve stock shortages, delivery delays, and product quality concerns swiftly.
4. Commercial Analysis & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Perform spend analysis, unit cost modeling, and comprehensive supplier performance audits.

Partner with Marketing, QA, and NPD teams to support seasonal promotional campaigns, new menu rollouts, and store footprint expansion.

Prepare executive procurement reports, vendor scorecards, and strategic market intelligence summaries.
Minimum Requirements – Supply Chain Buyer
Educational Qualifications & Certification

Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Management, Logistics, or a closely related field (Essential).
Professional Experience & Industry Background

3 to 5 years of proven experience in strategic procurement, buying, or commercial sourcing (Essential).

Demonstrated track record in high-stakes supplier negotiations, contract drafting, and commercial agreement management (Essential).

Practical experience procuring food items, packaging, agricultural commodities, or operational FMCG goods (Highly Advantageous).

Deep technical understanding of end-to-end procurement cycles, inventory control, and supply chain logistics.
Technical Competencies & Soft Skills

Advanced computer skills and proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, Sage) and modern procurement technologies.

Advanced MS Excel capabilities (cost modeling, spend analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs).
