Position Overview
Bidvest Prestige is seeking a Business Development Consultant based in Cape Town to support and enhance the company’s sales and marketing strategy.
The role focuses on driving new business growth, developing client relationships, preparing tenders and proposals, and identifying new market opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Actively source, pursue, and engage new clients
- Conduct cold calling and follow up on leads from multiple channels
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Follow up on cancelled contracts and recovery opportunities
Proposals, Bids & Tenders
- Compile and draft high-quality proposals and tender responses
- Ensure all submissions are professional, compliant, and timeous
- Engage with strategic suppliers for proposal development
- Improve bid success rates through structured sales processes
Sales Strategy & Growth
- Implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Identify weaknesses in the sales process and improve performance
- Support market expansion and revenue growth initiatives
Marketing & Market Expansion
- Identify new market segments and growth opportunities
- Support marketing campaigns using a full marketing mix approach
- Promote sister companies and related services within the group
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports
- Track performance against targets and growth objectives
- Provide insights to improve sales strategy and execution
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development or sales
- Strong experience in service industry sales (advantageous)
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
