Tax Administrator – Hybrid Position in Northern Suburbs, Cape Town
A well-established, full-service accounting and tax practice based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is expanding its tax division and currently hiring a skilled Tax Administrator. Tax Return Management

Accurately complete Individual, Corporate, and Trust Income Tax Returns.

Submit Provisional Tax Returns bi-annually, meeting all SARS deadlines.

Ensure clients remain fully tax compliant, with accurate and timely documentation.
SARS Engagement and Dispute Resolution

Manage various tax registrations and engage directly with SARS via telephone.

Compile and submit:

Income Tax Audits

Dividends Withholding Tax (DWT) returns

Donations Tax returns

Handle objections and appeals through:

Notice of Objections (NOO)

Notice of Appeals (NOA)

Prepare audit responses and defend client positions when required.
Compliance and Administration

Ensure Tax Clearance Certificates and Foreign Investment Certificates are obtained.

Apply for waivers on interest and penalties.

Support tax compromises, deferments, and repayment arrangements with SARS.

Maintain consistent internal controls, including timely invoicing for tax-related work.
Technical and Advisory Involvement

Provide tax input for Annual Financial Statements (AFS) compiled by internal teams.

Offer insights into TaxPlanner and Company TaxPlanner software development.

Occasionally present tax-related training content for client education initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for the Tax Administrator position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tax practice and accounting.

Progression toward a professional tax qualification (e.g., SAIT, SARS Accreditation) is preferred.
